Garmin etrex summit with HP iPAQ 4150.

I have the above.

Is there a way the summit will work with the ipaq pda?

I would like to use the pda as a mapping gps in the car.

I do not wish to buy a bluetooth GPS system for the ipaq as I already have the summit gps.

So do I just buy a cable and some mapping software and the way I go. Is it as simple as that?

Yep, as simple as that! It means that in most cases you will still have to power the summit via normal batteries, and if you get the right cable (e.g. PC-Mobile) you can get a powered PDA cable which allows you to connect the Summit to the PPC and to also use a normal accessory charger to charge and power the PPC at the same time so you don't have to run the PPC on battery.
