working on a Tungsten T3 with navigator

Hi John

Have you downloaded and installed checkpoint yet? If not you will need to do this in order to get the warnings to play.

Also you will need to download the latest speed cam files from this site - these are .ov files and are installed on you PDA where the map files are kept, usually on the smart card.

You can then download the files you want from the site you have seen (they need to be .WAV files), install them into your PDA and set them up using the checkpoint properties section.

There are full instructions on how to do this in the speed cam section of this site.

CheckPOInt is a Pocket PC thing - not relevant to the Palm OS version of Navigator.


There may be a POI warning feature built in to the Palm OS version of Navigator - it's certainly appeared in other TomTom NavCore based software. Whether this allows you to use .wav sounds, I don't know.
