|
|
I've installed Tomtom on a Medion 950000, (at the same time as original navigator) Seems to have installed fine, but i'm getting a flasing icon on title screen, a plug flashing with a cross through it. I have installed gps 2.07, and it isn't picking location. How can I correct this. |

Hi,
The flashing plug shows that you’re running off the PDA’s battery and don’t have power from an external source.
What GPS Receiver are you using and is it wired or Bluetooth?

Hi,
Duh … should have spotted that it was PDA with an inbuilt GPS receiver.
If you go to the GPS driver you’ll have to play around with the COM number and the baud rate. I have no idea of what to set the mio 168. You can try NMEA 4800, together with Serial Cable on COMx.
Also ensure that the switch with the picture of a PDA is set to the right hand position, i.e. so that the TomTom red hands appear in the screen of the PDA.
You will then need to try it with a clear view of the sky.
What version of TTNav are you running?

Go to
Programs > TomTom GPS > GPS - make sure you are set to "TomTom Navigator GPS" and " Serial Cable on SP2"
Untick the box to change to these settings then re-tick the box when set. |
