Can anyone suggest a GPS that can do the following ???

Hi all,
Total noob here and i am looking to purchase a hand held gps system that can do the following.

Turn it on and put it under my scooter seat and have a ride around then when i get home connect it to my PC and see the route i have travelled down to street level.
Sorry if this is a sad question but my local shop does not know if any of their units do this without me touching the unit (i cant as i will be riding) maybe all units do this i dont know.

You are looking for a data logger. Examples are Royaltek RBT3100 or DeLorme BlueLogger. If you can hard wire the receiver into the bike then you can also consider the Deluo Black Box.

Sure. Generally the GPS receivers do not care what programs are using them.

Most handhelds will allow you to download a track of where you've been, but depending on the length of time and the distance you've travelled, you will probably be better off with a datalogger.

If it's just for a strole around a park, or a Sunday walk then a handheld GPS would probably be better, but you need to make sure it's got a good view of the sky just like any GPS, so it's no good hiding it away.
