|
|
Hi guys, just got myself a 510 and intend to use it both in the car and on the bike.
Like a few others I'm suffering from "Plebitus" with the upload of the speed (sorry saftey) camera database.
I've followed the instructions but i'm still getting that "No POI's found in input file" message. I'm using notebook to save the database and removed the first line. So I save it to the device and keep getting that message. I did read somewhere that something has to be done with the @ characters, is this correct, and if so, what ??
Cheers,
Steve |

If you read this page from Navman's website, all will be revealed. _________________ Tim |

Tried replacing the "@" with "at" but to no avail. Am I missing something obvious ??

Make sure you are using the CSV file and make sure you don't open it and edit it in Excel as this will corrupt the format when saving and cause problems. Use NOTEPAD. |

Yep, did that too.... Still getting the "No POI's found in input file" message. Starting to get a bit worried now.
Open file with notpad (top line already removed)
use "find & replace" to change all "@" to "at"
save as .csv file
open POI editor
open file
save to device
It's not rocket science, but it doesn't want to work...

It worked for me perfectly. The only thing I would say is I left the @ as it was, and it will import that way but some records may not be referenced correctly so it's better to replace it other chars like '*' for instance. Either way it should import.
Your first line should be the co-ordinates (and no blank line). |

Thanks guys, I'm begining to think I may have a problem. Is there any other text based POI databases that I could try and import, as a test ?

Glad I'm not the only one with that problem. It seems to be a bug in the software that I hope Navman will sort out. |
