MS Pocket Streets Problem

Hi guys:

I use my ipaq pocket pc, solely for my car gps. I use holux gm270 with microsoft pocket pc 2005. When I turn off my ipaq and turn it back on later, gps would stop working. I have to manually stop gps in pocket streets and restart it for it to work again. Is there away around this issue, as I don't want to bother turning gps on and off each time i use it.

The issue is almost certainly that it's taking longer for the expansion hardware including the GPS to power up than Pocket Streets can cope with.


My personal work-round to this would be to install one of the pieces of software that makes the X button exit a program rather than minimise (Spb's Pocket Plus is my favourite), then exit Pocket Streets before switching off.

If Pocket Streets automatically reconnects to the GPS when it's restarted, all you have to do is put Pocket Streets somewhere easy to start up (like in your Start Menu), and it's one tap before switching off, and two taps when switching back on.
