I'm thinking of buying a TomTom Nav system but I will need to be able to display my current location using Bristish National grid coordinates rather than Lat/Long. Can someone tell me whether this would be possible with the latest version of TomTom and how easy it is to activate within the software.

many thanks

There's no support for OSGB coordinates in any TomTom software. Like most street navigation solutions, it works entirely with WGS84 coordinates.

If your need is to display just your current location, there's nothing stopping you using another OSGB aware program to achieve that - though you will need to disable TomTom GPS temporarily unless the program is written to use the TomTom SDK.

Some support for OSGB has been wished for in GPSAssist, though it remains to be seen whether the developer adds it.

Though it's not obviously the right thing to do, please remove the sid element from links to other posts. That represents the ID of your session, which causes all sorts of weirdness when other people follow that link. I've edited it out of your post.

We all got this wrong once!
