Hi,
A bit confused with my TomTom 3 GPS bluetooth and iPAQ 4150. The thing works like a dream - the dogs dangers. A couple of questions though.
1. I have not done any pairing between the BT GPS and the Ipaq - the GPS wizard in TT3 picks the BT GPS up automatically on Com 6. However, I have read a lot of threads about folks using Com 8. Anything I should be worried about? There is no permanent pairing on my setupand I feel there ought to be. Any advice guys?
2. IS there a power down sequence? i.e exit TT3 application, switch of BT GPS and switch ipaq off? I got a "GPS engine unreliable Please reinstall application" message. To get round it, I powered the BT GPS off switched everyhting off and powered it all back up and it all worked fine. I am a bit concerend about this.

Other than that 10/10 for a fantastic bit of kit :D . Would like some advice if possible guys....

Thanks, Steve

1) the actual number of the COM port depends on your device and is also different when you use one of the newer TomTom GPS drivers. Generally you don't need to worry - your setup works, doesn't it?

Paring is not required when a GPS receiver is accessed from a Pocket PC. It will be required when you use a Smartphone - those are much more picky about security.

2) Again, the issue may be caused by using a more recent TomTom GPS driver. If you want to get rid of this behaviour, de-install the TomTom GPS driver(s) and then re-install TomTom GPS version 2.07 from our downloads page
