GPS and Compact Flash

Greetings,

I have an IPAQ with battery extender, with PCMCIAslot/compact flash card. I would like to get away from the hassles of a corded GPS and a compact flash unit sounds ideal. The problem is I then cannot use my card for storage at he same time, does anyone have any ideas? a compact flashor PCMCIA doubleadaptor sounds like a solution but I have not found one. Or a GPS with built in storage capacity.

The only options you have are either a CF/Bluetooth Jacket, you could then use the CF Slot for Memory and the Bluetooth Support would allow use of Bluetooth GPS's.

Alternatively there was a bulky dual-PCMCIA jacket/extended battery option, you could then use two CF adapters and have memory in one and a GPS in the other but it's a large jacket, heavy and makes it less than portable!

I would go with the HP Bluetooth Jacket, they still appear on eBay relatively cheaply and the use of a Bluetooth GPS gives you a more adaptable set-up with a GPs that you can take with you when you upgrade to a newer device.

will check out pricing, was hoping I could get away without the need for a new jacket. Might be time to upgrade to a bluetooth IPAQ.
