tomtom 3 not starting after checkpoint update

running tomtom3 + checkpoint 2.02 fine for 2 months on toshiba e400. Updated POI's via dnote sync software using mobile gprs - now tomtom fires up starter icon but won't start - have to reset to use pda
just reinstalled, got tomtom working fine again - tried checkpoint 3.? this time - same again
any ideas? try different software eg gpsassist?

if you have downloaded too many POIs TT will not start. It has a limit somewhere around 80 POI files IIRC. You will need to get rid of some if you have too many (look for .OV2 files in your TT map folder)
