You could use www.streetmap.co.uk to get the Lat Long from the address and then use POIEdit to create ov2 files to transfer manually to the TTG. |

You could convert one of the files to .asc and edit it with Wordpad and add an entry for that postcode. Accoring to Streepmap.co.uk the Lat Long is:
Lat 51.713550
Long 0.154965
then convert it back to ov2 and put it on TTG |

This means a lot of work to do this to all the postcodes missing.
I want to know if I have downloaded right. Is there a restriction on how many you can have, my card is 256,.
Seems pointless having some and not others |

It's well documented in other threads that there is a maximum limit to the number of additional POI files TTG will recognise (even if you fit more on your card) - I think th etotal limit is 81 or thereabouts, therefore if you download all of the postcode files from the POI area on this site then once you extract them you ave about 110+ files - too many.
to get around this I compiled them in to 'Regional' files - see the post 'Amalgamated Postcode Files' which mean that you have access to all of the postcodes which are in the 100+ files but in fewer, larger, slower-searching files.
It may be that those original files have some ommisions - it wouldn't be surprising as I think they were the work of one person originally. |

This is the point I assume this is a way to get round only having 81 additinal files, with the above method can't you add them all? |

Yes if your SD card is big enough.
They will not fit on the 128Mb card that came with the unit.
If you are going to use the TTG in Europe you will need a bigger card just to install the Major Roads of Europe maps that came on the CD with TTG. |

I have a bigger card, my issue is that there are lots of postcodes missing, unless I am doing something wrong |
