sometimes when I am searching for a road it fails to find it. I know its there on the map but it just won't find it. Can the search feature be improved in some way. By the way, great forum, if it wasnt for the information and help from here there is no way i would have been able to put all the Gatso, redlight and spec cameras on THANKS!!! |

Can you post any examples? Then others can try to find them and see if they have any success. It seems that the way we search affects our success rate in finding what we're looking for.
Unfortunately there is nothing we can do to change this, although it's possible that Navman might be able to by way of an SP. _________________ Tim |

OK, it would appear that Mickleover isn't in the database! The only way I can successfully find that particular Station Road is to input the postcode DE3 5, which I'm not convinced is correct (I think it is DE3 9) and then I put in Station Road. The only offering is Station Road, Derby, but it does show you the correct Station Road.
I suggest that you send an email to support (at) navman (dot) com and tell them of your findings. I'm sure that the fine people of Mickleover will not be pleased to be lumped in with Derby!

I've had my 510 for a couple days and experienced a similar problem......in Los Angeles, I was looking for the intersection of Westwood Blvd and W Pico Blvd......if I specify only the state (CA), I can find either Pico or Westwood, but they don't show up as options for intersecting with each other.
However if I specify the zip code of the intersection (found via Mapquest), then they show up as possible intersections choices! What's up with that? |
