Hi,
I have TTN3 with an Ipaq H5550 (128 SD inserted) running Windows 2003 CD4.2.
My problem is that it won't load.
When I insert the CD it auto runs, then as follows
Choose language - English (UK) - Next
Accept license Agreement - Next
Install TOM TOM Navigator - Next
Go online to activate - Next
Screen says "Preparing to install etc"
Then
"Unknown Device Architecture" - OK
"Cannot connect to your device"
Retry goes back to "unknown Device Architecture"
Cancel take you to
Install Great Britian Maps - Next
Now, whether I choose to install to Pocket PC or other location, then chosoe PC Storage Card Reader (CF/MMC/SD) it says
Disk Drive Not Found.
Click OK
Then back to Install Great Britian Maps.
This is driving me mad.
I have had this installed about two weeks ago and all seemed to be fine, but as I have SatNav in my car I was stupid enough to let the Ipaq battery run flat.
So I know that it works, just not this time.
Also, i have just written a file to the storage card, so I assume that is ok.
Does anyone have any idea's please.
Thanks in advance

ActiveSync must be fully functioning for the automated installation to work. Alternatively you can copy the CAB files (TTN, TTGPS, Voice) to the iPAQ and run the installation directly on the device. _________________ Lutz

Hi,
Thanks for the reply,
I think i am be a bit dumb here, but I cannot see any cab files on the CD, only Zip files.
Could you tell me which folders and any files not in a folder I need to copy to my Ipaq, and do I just copy the setup file and double click that to start the install.
Thanks in advance
Wingnuts
BTW the PPC is connected correctly to the PC and all other ActiveSync functions work correctly.
One day I might just sus out that you sign off at the foot of a page and not in the middle.
Also, I am running AS 3.7 and not 3.71, would this make a difference? |

You can get the cab files from the TomTom support site. they may also already be on your hard disk. _________________ Lutz

When you install TomTom it does this "Unpacking files" bit - this is uncompressing the CAB files. These can usually be found in your temp folder (look in \Documents & Settings\username\Local Settings\Temp - in here should be two or three TomTom-named folders and in these should be the CAB files. |

Thanks for your help Nej.
I couldn't get TTN3 to load as you know, in the end I re-installed TTN2 ok, then TTN3 installed over the top of it.
Although I did need your advise as I had to manualy copy the map to the PPC.
Thanks again
