Hi! I own a haicom 303-s which i switched into sirf mode using Leadtek Monitor (pretty much the same as CE monitor) only now i can't perform any kind of changes to it. The baud rate, sentence type (NMEA or Sirf) Nothing will change! Once i got it to change somehow (but it had to re-download the whole almanac) but now i cant even get it to do that! Heeeellllpppp!!! does anyone know what i can do? I've got a serial port terminal program on my PDA if anyone knows the commands, and i've tried using sirf demo, NOTHING WORKS!!! 8O Any info would be muchly appreciated! - Thanks!

I had exact same problem, I managed to switch modes a total of 3 times fiddling with ''Leadtek Navigator - Win CE monitor''. I spent many hours trying to change it again and never managed to. (I've also fiddled with every other GPS app made and never managed to changed mode)

I have also had experience with the blue non-extrac one (303MMF) which actually arrived jammed in SiRF mode, also unchangeable.

The times I managed to change the 303S's mode was just from randomly fiddling with the util, I subsequently tried a methodical approach and never managed to do anything.

I was told by Haicom the supercap will need over a week to discharge at which point it should revert to factory default. Well I left mine two weeks and it didn't, if you have more patience than me please try it for longer:)
