I've been trying to use POI Edit, and to be quite honest, so far I think it's crap This is not down to the software - that's probably very good. No, it's down to the maps. I've downloaded the UK and UK South maps in accordance with the FAQs, but they're not detailled enough. When I want to use it to record a POI, it's like using a pin to mark the position on a Collins roadmap when you're drunk and wearing your grandfather's glasses. It's hopeless. The detail is lacking.
Does anyone know where I can get better, preferably street level, maps for it? _________________ Geraint

Geraint,
Remember this software is Free so you can expect everything being perfect in it.
Have you thought of recording POI's while you are at the point, or have never visited these POI's? If you knew the post code for these you could use the Digitools app to locate you near the position and then refine it on the map view of TomTom, then you could record the POI's.
Just a thought.... :D _________________ Beefy

POIEdit is only being used for POI-Sync in terms of getting a POI from the web to your Pocket PC.
If you're looking to use a proper application to enable you to plot a location on a map, then why not use AutoRoute and export the pushpins ?
POIEdit wasn't designed for this. |

I have created a few POI lists in TT3, I would like to be able to edit them, move some entries to another filename, delete a few etc.
I thought a quick search on google would find an application, but so far nothing.
Any suggestions ? |

Thanks, it does just that !
A tip for anyone wanting to change the text descriptions - it will allow it, but the mouse pointer needs to hover over the text for a second or so.
Also dont use the delete button, use backspace. |
