Hi,

I've had TT3 for a while, and used it on my 1940 with no prob. I've "upgraded" to a IPAQ RX3715 vut when trying to open a bluetooth connection it just locks up and never gets there. I'm using a globalsat 308 and I've tried all the drivers I can. Am I using the right com port (tried both 6 and 8)? Should there be an incoming and outgoing bt connection. I just get outgoing on the gps drivers 3, 3.02, and 3.03.

Help I'm going mad!!

before you try anything in the GPS area, have a closer look at your PDA. In the bluetooth manager, go to Settings > Services > Serial Port > Advanced and note the Outbound port.

That's what you need to use in TTGPS 2.07 . If you don't see that port in the list then you don't have v2.07 installed - you'll need to remove TomTOm GPS completely and then, after a soft reset, reinstall TTGPS 2.07.

NMEA 0183v2 4800 baud.

Silly question, but we have to cover everything. Have you bonded the GPS to the iPAQ via Bluetooth and used the 2003 passkey ?

Yes I have paired devices.

When I try that setting (v2/4800 and Com 6 - outgoing port) the blue button in the tt3 gps software won't "tick"

There seems to be a problem with there driver and the new Windows Mobile Version 2 software. There driver does not allow you to connect to the Bluetooth device, i have called Tom Tom regarding this but they have not got round to testing the new PDA's :-(

I think they will have to bring out a new patch out.

I am having the same problem, I start Tom Tom and it hangs, it will NOT connect to the bluetooth receiver. Has anyone had any luck so far with any of the new Ipaq devices. They seem slower to me. I had teh 4150 before. Currently in two minds about my new Ipaq. Sad

I would stick with the 3715 think there will be patches to solve any problems in the near future.

Hi
I found patch for TomTom GPS in the www.pocketpc-club.nl.
Now GPS 3.03 works fine and both TeleType GPS and finnish genimap Navigator ´works with Emtac Bluetooth and ipaq 4700. I don't need to use 2.07 anymore
