|
What is the newest software I can run on my Sony Clie N770 ????
Have "city maps" and "route" but these are both a couple of years old...
These are street level citys and city-city routing...
Is there any thing newer I can use ?
Thanks |

Am I right in saying the Clie N770 only has 8MB ram? and a 33Mhz processor?
If so you are not likely to get any recent navigation software to run. _________________ Ian.

Sorry, I missed the first post. I think spec wise the processor is faster than that. CLIE though, there's little that will run. Immediately it discounts TomTom. If it's one of the later CLIE models then you may get away with Navman SmartST V2. If not, then you may get away with Mapsonic that certainly runs on Palm T2's and I think Mapopolis may run on it.
You have to think about which GPS you're going to use as I don't think it has Bluetooth connectivity ? If not, then you may need to use the GPS in the CF Slot, and have no map storage (unless you can get away with memory stick) or use the bottom sync port for a cabled GPS. |

Specs are correct... currently using TOMTOM "city maps" and "route" but these are a couple of years old now.
Got my GPS off Ebay - a mouse with Rikaline (?) cable... connects to the cigarette lighter socket and the bottom of the Clie, works a treat... but as the software is quite old now, it would be nice to have newer versions as roads change all the time ! |
