Palm M505 + Navman gps500

Hi,
I have had this bundle for a while but recently let the batterys completely die on the palm, I can't now re-install smartpath city or smartpath trip, when I try to install wither I get a pop-up with just error. I am running Windows XP BUT used to run ME and 2000 does anyone know if there is a problem using this software under XP? Does anyone know of any alternative software (cheap or free)

I don't know for sure, but it wouldn't surprise me. The software and installer are pretty old hat now. There have been incompatibility issues with other older software installing from WinXP.

Try contact Navman, you may get a few blank looks or "eh ?" as it's quite an old product now and I think most Navman technicians are new within the last year or two so may not know the 500 all that well.
