no, you cannot have more than one copy of TomTOm running. but there may be other programs in the background that slow your machine down.
I would recommend a soft reset before you start TomTom, or you can also use a task manager like VBar or Wisbar. _________________ Lutz

I get this occasionally on my 2210 too - usually by tapping TomTom Navigator on the start screen several times because the previous taps don't seem to have worked. Then they all spring into action together.
You can just exit each one in turn, but then it's guesswork when you only have one left. So I use iTask to see how many are running and close all but one of them. _________________ Barry Davies

Can I correct you on this, it is very easy to have multiple copies of TomTom running at the same, I started a discussion some months ago about this very problem.
If you hit the TomTom icon multiple times by mistake you end up with multiple copies of TomTom running, and yes the machine slows down. I beleive this to be a bug as TomTom should check to see if there is an instance already running. |

that's indeed bad. As per Microsoft guidelines no program is allowed to be started multiple times in Windows CE. Well, well... We will certainly mention that to TomTom . _________________ Lutz
