Has anyone tried this holster? http://www.ipaqcases.com/store/iph1900.htm

I was thinking about buying it and attaching it to a vent mount. It looks like it would make a great vent mount, while at the same time, not sticking out too much. I was also wondering if you could cut out the part where the charger would go.....

Generally this would be a good idea. But - the holster is specifically formed to protect the PDA display, and may not function when you put the PDA in with the display facing away from it.

So it depends pretty much how the holster is formed on the side . I know that for the legacy styled iPAQs (36xx to 55xx) it is not possible to put them in the holster that way.

In any case such a holster is a fantastic thing and a good investment.

According to the description for this holster, it says that you can have it facing outwards....has found any other vent mounts that are pretty thin? I have yet to find any..

In that case go for it. Just make sure you put the display inside when you use the holster ouside the car.

Are there any other mounts for a car that don't go in the vent, but would attach to inside of the car? I found one, I can't remember the name, but it was too pricey for me. I am looking for something that would be, at most, $30 or so .

you buy cheap, you buy twice. Go for the 'pricey" piece.
