After much research and an abortive purchase of another brand, I am very pleased to say that the Seidio mount just accommodates these jackets, although not with the CF card in place... this is not a problem for me as I store my maps on the Ipaq's SD card.
I was apprehensive about going for a Seidio after reading many horror stories and getting no reply from David Chang to a query, but I have to say that (for this mount at least) the build quality looks excellent. The only other criticism so far is that the volume control is not very linear.
For anyone trying to find out more, and drawing a blank as I did, these mounts come with a removeable plastic plate which enables jacketed and naked Ipaqs to be fitted, although to fit an Ipaq with the HP protector jacket attached requires the plate to be removed and is not quite as snug. The audio jack is fitted within the mount. Any other queries, please ask.
Having an amplified mount that you can slide your jacket-equipped PDA into with no leads to connect is brilliant.
I bought from PeripheralCorner who were a pleasure to do business with.

Hi there,
I came to similiar conclusions. I am currently writing a review on the G2500, it will be published in a few weeks. What iPAQ are you using? The speaker on my 3970 is way better than the speaker on the Seidio. Obviously they have wasted no thoughts whatsoever on corpus acoustics or speaker placement.
Could you do me a favour and take a picture of the connector area where the iPAQ plugs in? So I can show comparative pictures how the mount handles different connectors. _________________ Lutz

Lutz,
Sorry, I should have said, its an Ipaq 5450 which explains the need for an amplified mount...! I don't actually find the sound quality to be too bad using the text-to-speech facilities of CoPilot 5; I didn't buy it for any other use, so I'm quite happy.
I have sent the requested photo by e-mail.
Should I also post a link to this thread to the Emtac/Transplant/Socket forum?
