Has anyone used the new SD based GPS receivers, i'm looking for one of these, but as yet nobody seems to have used these. It will be for a car, i have used a GPS mouse but can't stand the number of wires that go with this. The CF slot is being used by my memory card therfore leaving only the SD slot. |

We are currently reviewing the GlobalSat 501.
So far it seems to be a really good device, pulls in the signals very well, and responds well. My only concern (so far) is the possibility of breaking the sd connector. This applies to all SD devices that stick out of the PDA as the size of the connector must introduce a weakness over CF style receivers. _________________ Mike Barrett |

Hi allllllot,
Welcome to our forums.
To help you we will need a little more info.
What PDA are you using?
What version of Windows Mobile is installed?
What GPS software are you trying to use with it?
What does it do when it doesnt work?
Can you connect to the serial port it creates?
Do you see any satellite signals being received? _________________ Mike Barrett |
