All,
Does anyone know if it's possible to change an American basemap on a Magellan (any model really) to a European one? Or are the basemaps fixed?
I've noticed that the US models are significantly cheaper than the EU ones and I've got an option to buy one at a very good price, but obviously a US basemap is not much use to me...
Cheers, |

AFAIK it's included in the ROM and isn't possible to change it 'legally'. |

Thanks Dave.
I have no experience of mapping GPS's, but if I loaded another map (i.e. the Magellan Mapsend GB Topo maps) onto the GPS, either using built-in-memory or an SD card then can this be used instead of the Basemap (although not replacing it), meaning that it needn't be a problem if the basemap is US?
Or are these Mapsend things only for the PC? |
