|
|
I have 3950 in my car with TT3 which is hard wired to a Global Sat reciever. But what do I need in order to use it as a walkabout GPS, I know there are CF Recievers, but will they fit mine, or do I need something else. And are they any good, or should I go and purchase something new, what a dilemma. |

You could either use a PCCard jacket with adapter and CF GPS (advantage: additional battery) or a GPS jacket , for example the Emtac or Copilot jacket
(they don't have a battery but do have a free CF slot).
Alternatively you could go for a Bluetooth receiver, but since the 3950 doesn't have Bluetooth you would need an adapter there as well.
In any case you will need to think about some form of emergency power supply (lie 4 AA batteries) for longer trecks. _________________ Lutz

Well, you obviously need a program (for example Memory Map) and you need a SD storage card to hold the maps. _________________ Lutz
