HELP WANTED Info on what connection to use with TT3 and IPAQ

As a newcomer to GPS - I am a little confused as to what settings I should use with my System. TT3 + 2210 + Syson CF 2 plus. Should I use NMEA at 4800 or faster or SiRF? Surely the faster I select the quicker the system responds.
