Looking to buy a GPS unit

Hi all,
I recently started a new job servicing cable tv and am not too familar with the area so I'm thinking about buying a GPS unit but am not sure exactly what I want or need. Would the Garmin 3600 be good enough or is it over kill? My job requires me to locate houses and businesses in several towns, I like the fact that the 3600 offers voice commands so I can keep my eye's on the roads, do many others offer this as well and if so could you recommend some units. I'm willing to spend between $100- $500 give or take.

Welcome to the forums. Do you want to use the solution just in your cable car (sorry, could not resist) or should it be more flexible?

Voice commands are not a criteria, all real programs offer that. Try finding other criteria.
