GPS for cycling

Hi

I'm a total amateur at the GPS world. My question to you is if there is a viable system that can work for road cycling in Europe and USA? I guess that battery requirements is probably one of the problems or...??

I appreciate any reply that anyone can send me.

Most systems will work, the problem with PDA's is you'll have around 2-4 hours battery use, probably not ideal. You can go for a new Garmin GPSMap60C/CS which will give you a small colour screen on a handheld GPS and routing but not voice.
