Does anyone know an easy way of deleting duplicate overlay waypoints?
I imported the updated Walking World database of walks and now I seem to have two waypoints for every walk which is slowing down the loading of the overlay properties screen somewhat.
I don't really fancy manually deleting over 2000 waypoints, at least not through the overlay properties sceen which is really slow and painful to navigate...

You could try exporting the WPs as a CSV file, the routes as RXF and tracks as TXF. Load the CSV file into Excel and remove the unwanted points.
Then in mm use Overlay>delete all. Then import each of the files - modified CSV file, unmodified RXF and unmodified TXF.
Beware though, I think that exporting RXF files and importing them again will truncate your route names to eight characters - if I remember correctly _________________ Ipaq 2210

Hi TC,
Thanks for the reply, luckily I actually found another way to sort out the Walking World waypoints. Luckily they have them grouped into their own categories, like "moderate walk", "mountain climb" etc (wish I could do this for my routes :-().
So luckily I can "show all" and then hide just the walking world categories and "Delete Hidden" and then re import the walking world overlays again and the duplicates have gone :D
Did not spot the Delete Hidden option before today

To assign your own route categories, go to Overlay Properties.
In the category drop down list, just type in your category (Easy, Hard, whatever you want to call it) and hey presto - a new category is created.
