I have an ov2 file which lists all of greene kings managed pubs. Yet when I go to navigate to - Points of Interest I only get approx 30 listings and when I input a pubs name if it isnt in that list it wont be shown. Any ideas why I cannot search through the whole list of approx 700 - is there a setting in tom tom for this? _________________ Chigwa

Hi Chigwa,
Did you make the .OV2 file yourself, or did you obtain it from a website?
I’ve used WinOV2 to create most of my OV2 files. I have found that is I get it slightly wrong (description too long, missing comma or quotation mark) then only a few POIs make it to the OV2 file. It’s a case of browsing the ASC file and fixing the error.
If you didn’t create the OV2 file, then you can use WinOV2 to turn it back into an ASC file, which is viewable in MS Notepad to check how many pubs are in the list.

made it myself, so I know how many pubs should be in it. I find that when you are in the vacinity of the pub you can find it. Do the POIs only show within a certain radius? _________________ Chigwa

Hi,
No it shouldn't be distance related. If you set your position one end of the country and look for a pub (with a rare or unique name) at the other end of the country then you should find that pub.
I think that if you don't specify anything in the search box then TomTom will provide the nearest ones to you. I don’t know how many it will give you – that may depend on the PDA, memory, etc.
