hi,
is the 2500 supposed to charge to ipaq while its connected?
i have the ipaq in the mount but the battery is still being run down.
if i connect the TT BT GPS thats gets a red light so believe it is charging but the ipaq does not so i know the power is getting through.
i see no point in having this is it wont charge the ipaq _________________ IPAQ 4150 : Kodak 256MB SD.

Sounds like a fault, I had the same problem with mine - it was replaced now it charges everything just fine - just wish it didn't fry the PDA while it was doing it!!

I got the same problem with the seidio 2500 and my iPaq H5450 + GPS Sysonchip Plus, sometime does not charge and other times it works from time to time. Since I live in a rural area 20 kms. from Bogota, Colombia it will be impossible to send it back to them in USA because THE COST it'll be ridiculous. I do not understand why they advertise something and sell if it does not work perfect, must of this manufacturers look like the software companies, after you buy their software then you have to spend the rest of your life UPDATING and PATCHING!!! Amazing isn't? Besides I had to pay US$79 because they do not ship to Colombia, South America (Just in case they do not know where Colombia is located!) |

I fotrgot to tell you that since I'm a begginer in this forum I am a proffessional in GPS hardware, software and accs. And also I will tell you that if you are going to use this item in rallies or open road, watch out their holders brake very easy. _________________ latinware

It may seem obvious, but have you fully pushed the PDA into the holder. This model will not charge if the PDA not fully pushed into the inserted position. |

I did but I found out later that the base had sunk into the bottom of the mount... bad quality materials I should say ...I have wrote several emails to Seidio but as usual they never answer the emails I had sent ...so, if I sent it back to them it's going to cost me a lot more than what I paid, then I have decided to take it apart and try to fix it or glue it. We'll see! I am sorry I sunk US$77 for the 2500 model. |

I've just thrown my 2500 in the bin marked "crap purchases - learn from and do not rebuy"
I've replaced it with the haicom power mount - first impressions very good - much louder and smaller and far better quality - cheaper too.
In 5 months with the 2500 I replaced the power lead 3 times and the ipaq gets way to hot when charging, the sound quality (wrong word) is terrible and the build is quyite unlike any item I have purchased - no one would buy if they were on display in a shop (unless they were 50 - 60% cheaper).
