The header on this forum advertises a TomTom3 GPS for £69.99 at PDA MODS, go to the site and it is £169.99. Dodgy advertising or a typo? |

It'll be a typo in Google Adsense, or a good way to get you to their site! |

I doubt it's a typo!!
They are still advertising Rikaline X7 as having a 16 Hour battery run time. I've had three of these (all returned) and each one came with slip in it say that the battery only lasted 9 hours.
Come on PDAmods play a honest game!! |

Where is TomTom 3 GPS for £69.99? or as Handnav have added for £59.99 for a TomTom3 Kit ?
They do a TomTom wired GPS unit for this price without software.
"TomTom 3" is version 3 of the navigating software, the "3" does not not refer to hardware. To advertise "TomTom 3" without including it is dodgy. |

I see your point. At least, these ads are misleading. Ok these bits can be used with TT3, but to advertise them the way they are is a play on words and to be blunt, pretty devious.
People need to bear this in mind when sourcing suppliers for their equipment and snub these types, perhaps then they would be a little more considerate.
I myself used one of these ad's to get a TT3 CD which was supposedly in stock, and as i was going close to the address of the supplier i called in expecting to be able to pick one up - wrong!, they didn't even have any on the premises, the building was just an office with a couple of likely looking lads in it. Needless to say i didn't deal with these people and waited for the update from TomTom.
Unfortunately as satnav seems to be the big growth area for gizmo's and gadgets it is certainly attracting it's fair share of shonky dealers. |
