I've just been looking at the options for maps across Europe on the Tomtom website.
I notice you can buy Europe CityMaps for €59.95, whereas the whole of Europe is €189.99.
Now, you get Major roads of Europe with Tomtom3 right? If you then buy the CityMaps pack (contains 200,000 cities) your pretty much set for travelling around Europe right?
Are the city maps actually downloaded into Tomtom 3 to be used 'seamlessly' with the major roads? Or do the major cities work on seperate software that you would need to switch to once you've reached your city of choice?
Thanks for any help _________________ TomTom 6 - SPV M5000 and WM6

AndyCr15,
No, in my albeit limited experience, you cannot run Tom Tom City Maps with either Tom Tom Nav 2 or Tom Tom Nav 3. The City maps are standalone editions of something like but not quite the same as full blown Tom Tom Nav 2/3.

, thats my cunning plan out the window then
I guess you could still use Major roads to get you to your city of choice and then switch applications when you get close enough... _________________ TomTom 6 - SPV M5000 and WM6

Drove through Europe in May/June. Problem I found using MRE was I came across two "Deviations" in France, and once you get directed off the Major route, the roads disappear. No point in trying to follow the deviation either, they also disappeared after the first sign!!
