Advice please.

After this break of a few years, would you be good enough to remind me....the settings required to run CamerAlert in the background with my CoPilot or Waze running. And can CamerAlert power up automatically when I switch on Copilot ? Thanks for advice.

When you first install the app it will prompt you to allow background running and then for background running at all times.

Newer android versions ask for each permission as they are needed.

At present, the 'on startup also run' is not working, nor is the 'Car Mode' as we were focusing on the main app function of alerting to cameras and reporting cameras. So for now you would need a 3rd party app like 'Tasker' or 'MacroDroid - Device Automation' (in fact I've recently noticed that my 'Bluetooth Volume Manager' app has the option) that can launch an app when you connect to a specific Bluetooth device etc.

Best way to do it is launch CamerAlert and let it load up. Then load your navigation app and CamerAlert will run in the background (you will get a notification to confirm it is running in the background where you can also tap a button to shut it down).
