My mum's after a new SatNav. SHe's previously had a Garmin so knows how they work so Garmin would be preferred.
She doesn't have a smartphone and will only be doing UK driving. What would people recommend? Most of what I can find has all the bells and whistles like traffic and weather etc but she wouldn't be able to use them...

I would say traffic is a must these days. Without it you could drive straight into problems. But, without a phone you have no traffic
I haven't looked for ages but the next decision is 5" to 8", what size screen is best for older eyesight
I agree with Garmin though as TT seem to be pulling out _________________ DashCam:

As an 'older' driver, also with experience of Garmin, I would suggest one of their DriveSmart D range. I managed to get one earlier this year, from Amazon Germany for under £200, in 7" size, which gives excellent traffic data - and does not need a 'phone. _________________ Dabri.

From the description you need the Garmin Drive app for traffic so a phone is needed, which I suspect is the same for all models ? _________________ DashCam:
