When a POI is requested for removal, and subsequently removed, does the POI database record this as a change and therefore modify the appended date? _________________ Dabri.

Hi, I've just checked the back-end database to double check this.
At the moment, no, it doesn't. The date on the POI download page is the date of the last ADDITION as opposed to additions or removals.

Thank you for the clarification, MaFt. Since you say 'at the moment' is there a distinct possibility of a near-term modification to fix this? Any number of businesses seem to be disappearing, which may be reflected in 'your' databases, but, since I (and others, I presume) use the date as my guide, not in my copy. I looked into this since, when recently in Cornwall and in need of fuel, I visited several deceased fuel stations. This is the cause of my recent hectic activity to update the 'Fuel' database, particularly for those areas that are less-well served. _________________ Dabri.

I will try look into the code that generates to download section and see if it can be modified to use the most recent from 'date activated' and 'date removed'.
It's pretty complex code so will need to be delicate not to kill it |
