Downloading _________________ Garmin Drive 51LMT-S EU
(TT One V3 512MB + RDS TMC UK&RoI v1005 now retired, dead due to withdrawal of manufacturer support)
Full download is 10.62Gb (according to GE) whereas 2024.10 was 10.34Gb
Key differences between 2024.20 files and 2024.10 for those with full European coverage. Note file numbers usually increment in '10s' so 'xxx260' rolls over to 'xxx270'.

I'm on express version 7.18.1.0, which installed on 6.9.23 immediately before my successful map download.
(Today it reports a newer version 7.18.3.0 is now available).

I noticed this topic the morning and went to Garmin Express.
However, whilst it told me that the updated version of Express was available, and I installed it, there is no indication of an map update being available for either my Nuvi 3590 or Drivesmart 51.
I rebooted my computer to the same effect.
I notice that others have had the same problem and wonder if there is an explanation?

Can you run 7.18.3 and see what it says under Map Options? Just wondering if 7.18.3 is the issue. I've queried this on Garmin's own forum and will report back if I get any news. _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way.
It gives me an option to install on a PC - although I selected the option for device and PC when I installed 2024.20 _________________ DriveLuxe 51 LMT D - Firmware 6.80

Yes, with 7.18.3, as above.
It says my nuvi is connected.
Map options are for City Navigator Europe 2024.20.
I can choose to reinstall the map currently loaded on the device.
And I can choose to install to PC (as I did the other day).

Check mine at the weekend.
I don't use my Garmin's now but I want to update them as I've been upgraded from 24Mbps to 163Mbps full fibre.
My guess is the Garmin servers will slow it down to the normal speed of about an hour all in, download and install. _________________ DashCam:

I don't know why 7.18.3 didn't offer you that map.
But I got my new map via 7.18.1.
Try backdating Express ??
