Hi,
I have been away from the site for a long time, so I apologise in advance.

How do I download sped cameras to the above device when it only has 350mb of free space ?

Also, tomtom home tell's me that my device is obsolete and cannot be updated and should be replaced.

Any advice greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

It's a long time since I rolled up my sleeves and got dirty with a TomTom so excuse me if this is not quite accurate. The UK camera database is about 350kB zipped and less than 1MB when extracted, if your TT still has 350MB of space left, that should be plenty.

However, I do remember that TT's used to get sluggish when their memory was getting full. I used to overcome this by connecting it to my PC using File Explorer or similar (NOT TT HOME) and then moving any unwanted files from the TT to the PC for storage. Unwanted files mainly comprised of the RasterMaps, non-uk language files, POI's, spurious bmp files, etc. You get the picture, anything you don't think you need, transfer it to your PC for safe keeping.

If your TT is working, ignore the End is Nigh messages from TT, it just means that your device isn't supported you shan't be able to buy any new maps.

Hello,

Thank you so much for your response.
It was very kind of you to take the time to help.

Your advice was extremely helpful and appreciated.

I too have been tomtom absent for some years but as my wife has managed to
chalk up two speeding tickets in a short period of time I thought it would be a good idea to put my old one in her car.

Many thanks again,

Very Happy
