I'm having problems sending scamera database files to my 510. When I send the file it seems to download to the device but then comes up with the error message "No POI's found in input file" Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong? Thanks |

Are you following the instructions found here to the letter? _________________ Tim |

I've checked my procedure against the instructions and I seem to be doing evrything correctly, yet it still displays the error message. It's most strange as I can see the data in the POI editor

Yes, I could also see the data in the POIEditor even when it wouldn't transfer to my device. However, following those instructions exactly cured my ills, and those of most others' it would appear. The use of Notepad instead of Excel is absolutely critical. Other than that, I can send you the gatso file I successfully transferred to my iPAQ if you want. _________________ Tim |

Hi Tim,
I have installed the list of camera pois as you had describe. It works correct.
But my question here is: What can I do, if I have many list of camera pois ( 20km/h, 30km/h, 50km/h etc.) and I want to append all this lists as one list for MY POI?

You can use Oldie's POI Converter V3, which you can download from here. It has an 'Append' function which will allow you to open many POI files (of the same extension type, I assume) and Append them into one big one. I don't know what might happen if two points use the same name or coordinates but you might find out, and let us know if you do. _________________ Tim |

Hi Tim,
I have tested POI format conversion!
You can append some files with the same extension type to a new file.
When you try to open this new file with the POI Editor on SmartST V3, you get an error message "unknown file format". So you can't use this utility for Navman iCN 510.

Right, when you've appended the files you want, save the file as a .csv and then open it again using Notepad. Strip out the top line of Long, Lat, "Name", Information and save again. You should then be able to import the file into POIEditor. _________________ Tim |

Tim,
I downloaded the latest set of cameras with no problem, and noticed the new folders with speed zoned camera POI's in it. From what I can see, these seem to be the same cameras but put into separate folders depending on what speed restriction they apply to. Is this right? Did I need to load them on too or would I simply be doubling up on the info? |

The individual files in the Speed zoned directory are to replace the Gatso and Mobile files in the root. I have the individual Gatso files and the 'main' files for SPECS, Mobile, Temp and redlight. _________________ Tim |

Okay - I'm still confused with what to do with them!!! Do I just load on the cameras that are in the Gatso, specs, redlight, mobile and temp files (like I always have) or do I also need to download the zoned folders? Basically, if I just do the former, will I have all the speed cams on my 510?
