Definitely not Robert, Bo Peep wrote: | Just to confirm, the Facebook PGPSW group is not run by Privateer or myself. It was actually set up by another member of the forum and we were the first people invited to it as we know this forum member offline. |
Was just curious who it was! _________________ Darren Griffin |

Hi Darren,
The person who started the group has now left Facebook.
I'm not really sure why it was started in the first place but nothing was ever done with it.
Regards,
Bo Peep. _________________ TomTom 730

I figure I already know what I will be doing with this video but I thought I'd ask anyway! Do you want this to be a simple demonstration of the product and website or do you want this to more of an advert for PGPSW with reference to the forum and database with demonstrations of the product.
I was going for the latter. More of a flashy advert feel with a demonstration of the database in action, making note of the forum. Say about 4 min long or less. _________________ Dom

personally i wouldn't sit that long watching a video - i could listen to 3 or 4 punk-rock songs in that time!
2 minutes yes. 3 minutes possibly...

How about editing all your footage to produce both types Dom... a 2 minute advert type video and a 2 minute simple demonstration? _________________ Robert Brady |

Could someone do me a screen grab of a map of the UK showing all the speed cameras, from something like Autoroute if they have it! Or better still Europe!
I've see something here before but god knows where it is now! _________________ Dom

Oldboy sent me a europe wide map screenie with lots of red markers. Quite depressing really when you look at it.
I don't know what map program it was oldboy has used but there is something out there called a 'fair use policy' where a small part of copyrighted material may be used where it doesn't infringe upon the original, or something along those lines. This is how a tv company can show a clip of a movie/song and not have to pay for it, but showing the whole thing from start to finnish would be blatant abuse. _________________ Dom

There's something like that for music too, whereby you can play up to 30 seconds without paying royalties - or something like that, any more than 30 seconds and you need to pay royalties and get a performing rights licence (or something like that). _________________ Andy

The issue here will be whose a map data it is and how much of it you show. OS require you to apply for a licence BEFORE you can use it. Some cost bucks, others are free but regardless, you cannot use include images of their map data without it.
Whose map data is it? _________________ Darren Griffin |
