Yes, if you read back from post #1 we have already discovered that and no one has an answer ........ apart from install SpeedTrap Alert because that works and ...... uses the PGPSW database. _________________ DashCam:

Have you not read the previous posts in this thread. If not, it might just be a good idea. |

Gutted. Doesn't work on my new S10+. And have a few years of free sub due to being v proactive in logging sites. Will this be fixed or do I jump ship for another app? ? |

It's not the database that's not running on your phone, it's the CamerAlert app.
The database is downloaded from the page indicated by the big blue Download Here link in the right hand sidebar.
Scroll down the Satnav System combo box to select the SpeedTrap Alert entry, then in the Camera Selections combo box, chose UK-Single file....
Then follow the instructions in the STA help documentation to install |

It's not as easy as CA to update.
I download the PocketGPS SpeedTrap Alert file, as mentioned by M8 above, into Google Drive.
STA then recognises Drive and allows installation from there, but, you need to select the .txt file from within the zip.
Once you've done it a few times it becomes easier. _________________ DashCam:

I downloaded onto my phone then 'pointed' STA at the phones Download folder. No 'middle man' required. No need to unzip. Simples. |

The Samsung issue was first reported on 4th December, it is now mid February. Can we have a definitive "yes the issue is being addressed" or "no, we are not supporting updated Samsung operating systems" please? I miss CamAlert (as good as STA is) because I cannot submit/ modify new cameras at the time and relying on my memory is not a good thing _________________ Garmin Drivesmart 51 LMT-D Europe |

I got it working with STA - thanks for the tips.
I'd far prefer Camera Alert to be working though - is it on the To Do list? |

CA hasn't been updated since 2015 so I wouldn't hold your breath. |

Yes, but there was no real reason to update it as it worked. Now it doesn't work. Just a definitive yay or nay is all that is needed, would stop all the wondering. _________________ Garmin Drivesmart 51 LMT-D Europe |

If it's not going to be updated to solve the Samsung issue then why not just say so.
The lack of reply to the many requests for information is quite frankly ......... _________________ DashCam:
