Thanks for that as the site is still giving v1.5 and no update is found within the app.

In your version of TomTom home, top menu, File--Updates for TomTom Home (or close to that, mrzipy)

After more playing with v2.2.

Is anyone actually seeing anything to do with "sharing content"?
The Help files say:

Quote:
To share content in HOME, click Add Maps, Traffic, Voices etc, then Add {item}, then How do I create my own {item}, then Share my {item}.

and
Quote:
Downloading
1. Click Add Maps, Traffic, Voices in the main menu in HOME.
2. Click, for example, Voices.

You can then choose from items that are being shared by others and items being shared by TomTom (these have the TomTom logo next to them).

I don't get any of those.
I'm logged in, the Go is connected, I've switched from internal to SD card and back again. Nothing.

well I 'did' see the sharing feature this morning but now I don't! So either I was imagining it, I'm blind or TomTom have pulled it and as its active content it affects all the HOME installs?

Yup,

Worked for me last night in Mac version.

Downloaded and installed new car icons, new startup and ending screens, set password, downloaded user defined POIs (did not install), operated the Go 920 (messed up my quick menu as reported before, had to reconfig. after ejecting), saw all the TTS voices for free to DL...should have done it, had some issues with mapshare though (refused to DL POI categories or some such).

All in all, Mac is now up to PC standard, bugs remain, but we are operational. Just need to confirm that map DL is possible in Mac!

A moderator on a NA tomtom board who is also a Mac user reports he's only being offered the 1.5 version again .....

I guess it's too much to expect TomTom to get anything right the first time .. Sad

This is effing ridiculous.

[edited because it fixed itself on restarting the program?!]

You have always been able to do ringtones just make sure they are same bit rate as voice files and call them ringtone.ogg and put them in your main tomtom folder, where the splash is for example. Same for smsreceived.ogg
It will then come up in the list on tomtom home on whats on your tomtom.

Is that supposed to be a release version, or an early alpha?
Note lack of preferences menu item, no "about", the doubled-up help menu...

A proper menu for an OSX app is supposed to look like this:

Not to mention the fact that only half the app options work anyway. No 'operate my One', no this, no that...This, begging your pardon, is bullcrap.

Yup, I am seeing the exact same corruption of the HELP menus although I get an 'About TomTom HOME' and Preferences option under 'TomTom HOME'.

I also get an 'Application TomTom HOME Quit Unexpectedly' every time I exit. Confused

Kar,

Are you using Tiger or Leopard?

I think there is a prob with Leopard.

I got everything to work last night, except mapshare that half worked??

The double Help is valid (2nd one does not work). There is a Preference menu...cant recalll where and the about function gave all the paramenters of Home on your PC.

I can only assume those are remnants of the beta. Embarassed

Restarting the program fixed that menu part, the quit unexpectedly issue, and I can now set it to US-EN w/out the program taking a lethal sht.

Hello All

Have any Mac users (Tiger) been able to use OPERATE MY ONE with 2.2.0.16? All I get is THIS FUNCTION IS NOT YET SUPPORTED FOR YOUR TOMTOM DEVICE OR OPERATING SYSTEM. Sad

If I remeber correctly, when I was running the new version yesterday, I think I saw those 'sharing' things when I clicked on the icons like pois, saw what was being shown and then had to click the 'info' link. Try that.

In fact, it was that link that allowed me to provide feedback why I felt it, uh, somewhat silly, to see poi's listed for Canada (you can search by country in that screen) that were really for USA, or Europe, or specific countries like The Netherlands.

I was polite in my feedback, though ... Laughing

Yes,

I did it last night and twice tonight!

There was less stuff being offered for sharing today, but the system seemed more stable.
