Customising POIs on a Nuvi

Thanks for those Andy, though having heard your silence, I went on idly testing what the rest of the sound files were and found that English_British_.090.wav was silent. So I guess I could copy that and replace any files that I want silent with that one, just changing the name to English_British_.xxx.wav? Presumably it doesn't matter that the length of the silence is not necessarily identical with the file that I replace?

That's correct - it doesn't matter how long the silence is.

However you may well want the silence to be shorter (eg 1 second) rather than a longer one. Because there may be a clash between the Silence currently being played, and a Camera Warning that's just been triggered.

You would rather listen to the Camera Warning, than the Silence, I expect!
So you're probably as well renaming one of Andy's 1-second files.

It will allways play a navigation instruction in preference to a speed camera warning, even with a silent voice pack installed the unit will play the silence in preference to a camera warning - Mike
