My brother was discussing this with me and he remembered that when we had the trouble we where using one of those usb hub extention things that give you a few more usbs well the problem was that. If you have one of those that could be the problem you need to plug your go directly into the main usb port on the pc hope this helps. |

That's why I mentioned USB extension hub earlier - my MacBook wouldn't connect and the tip for that was to use an extension, not one of the built in USB ports. Weird. _________________ Dennis

just a thought, have you tried this?
Right click on 'my computer'
click on 'manage'
click on 'disk management'
Does the TomTom show up as a disk on this? If it does and it does not show up when you look under my computer, you might try to right click on the disk (while in disk management) and change the drive letter. It may be conflicting with something else. |

i never did that shame i did see this reply before i did a format
yep i did a format of xp,tried again to install the tomtom xp didn't even pick it up,what i did was to take the sd card out then connect it to my pc then xp picked it up
so i turned of the tom then put the sd card back in then connected it to my pc once again, and hey xp picked it up and installed it and now its showing up in my computer
i still think there is something not right with my pc and tom as it should pick it up with the sd card in
well thanks for everyones help |
