That's available already by pressing a button ;) _________________ Darren Griffin |

Dear Santa... I would like a review copy of the new AA gps software for my ppc * ( you may remember that the ppc was a early xmas pressy so please dont bring me another one.... just put the money in my sock, which will be hung in the normal place)
* I think you might want to ask the elves to get lots of these... cos every one wants something they can't ******** well get.
Love
Little David. |

P.S
If the AA software is duff (which is maybe why they haven't sent a copy to the forum for a good looking at)
Can I have a Buzz light year instead. (with a real lazer, not just a red light)

I wish Santa will finally get me a job (6 months is a long time esp. since this has never happened to me again), to pay for my obligations plus buy a nice new BMW R1200GS and attach my nice LOOX 720 with my CF or bluetooth GPS and go round the globe with my wife.
But for this to happen I wish Santa makes PocketPC GPS software companies FINALLY INCLUDE Greece (currently only Destinater has some relatively "ok" map).
Ah and of course (beauty contest blondie mode on), Global Peace. :-P |

Dear Santa,
Please could you arrange for one or all of the following for me cos I think these are superb ideas (of mine although soz if someone has already come up with them!) that someone should put into practise:
1) Steering column controlled navigation system for adjustments or TMC updates or volume control or suggesting alternative routes or just general navigation - a jog dial for selecting plus a couple of buttons would probably do it! Less taking the hands off the wheel for those who need to make adjustments while driving...
2) Navigation instructions and information projected onto the inside of the windscreen so that the focus is on driving and there is less taking your eyes off the road - this could even be arranged to be focussed say 10 past the bonet to further reduce the distraction from the road.
3) Position request / emission - sending and or receiving of current position to worried relatives friends or business contacts - press a button and your bluetooth phone sends an email or text of your co-ordinates to someone with a message saying for example 'I am running late, presently here due to traffic' - this could be requested for example by someone and the receiver denies or confirms the request. Useful for parents, businesses, relatives, emergency services...everyone really! Could even be harnessed to run through mappy or maporama so that you don't even need any further software to run this app - although the dev would probably lead to a text message scale charge per use...
4) A european wide radar/speedcam POI file for all us euro travellers!!!
5) Someone kind enough to give me all of the above to play about with!
Merry christmas all!

Dear Santa,...
I would like that you would bring me a GPS software/hardware package that includes full post-code street navigation, do point to point navigation using either degrees or OS/UTM co-ordinates. It should be able to be used as a sailing navigation package.
It should have worldwide street maps and 1:50,000maps and charts (for ships) available (I will accept on different cd-roms)
It should have a bluetooth package and Wifi and GSM and GPRS fully operational and be water and shock proof, and have decent mounts.
But most of all, it should NEVER crash!
