Just a thought, know i don't really know anything about how the registry works but within one of those regedit progs you have an option to add keys, doesn't that mean you could add your own then edit the values etc to do all this?.
Does anyone know anything about this kind of stuff?
If one person had the know-how then another person tried it (i'd have no prob if i new what to do) then that person could just post a backup file of theirs with it for everyone to share.
I'm not too sure about all this as I said so somebody please say so if this sounds impossible! |

Hi Thanks to all who have added their bits here, I've sucessfully managed to unlock My Aytobe to WinCE Desktop, stopped Malata, Installed TomTom6 with UK & WE Maps and updated the Voices and Speedcams, as well as installed a few useful programs such as SpeedSentry.
Another little tip I have found....
If you are struggling to install something due to lack of memory on the Device, change the memory size. Do this via the Control panel and select System. Then Select the Memory Tab, and slide over to about 20160kb, which will give about 20MB instead of the default 7MB. Makes a big difference when installing programs!
You can probably go a little higher but it can make the Device unstable if you take too much Program memory so test and try.
Hopefully I will be able to find more little bits while toying around! |

Anyone know of a simple calendar/PIM prog that works? I use Rainlender on my PC so something like that would be ideal. |

I found that the ARM Pocket version of Winamp works well, it isn't too friendly when creating a playlist, but sounds good!
I installed Phillips player 4, but it won't open because it can't find Aygshell.dll, Gx.dll or Mcce300.dll. even though they are both in the apps folder and in the Windows folder. Can anyone suggest anything for this? |

Has anyone found the stylus included with the AYTOBE to be a bit dodgy?
I wonder if this would be a suitable replacement:- |

Also, I found if you struggle to find a case, the Gameboy Advance cases are Ideally sized! |

Has anyone tried a 4gb HC SD card in thier AYTOBE yet? Thinking about ordering one (only 17.99 on Play) but will it work?

From what I`ve read, 2gb is the limit but I`m hoping to be proved wrong ;)
Corky, is there a version of winamp that can float on the desktop? |

Anyone know if SDIO is supported?
I have been installing (or not in some cases) various bits of software
on this little toy. Has anyone managed to get the power button to
suspend it, when not running Malata?
Also, where is the in-built mp3 player really stored?
I can't find it when poking around CE.
