If it was working and you just wanted to install the latest PostCode database then all you needed to do was overwrite the existing .dat file.
All you need is the .dat and .exe in a folder and a shortcut to launch the .exe. This assumes the TTNControl.arm.cab file has been installed (if you have CheckPOInt installed then it is).
If you browse to the folder where UKPostCode is installed and double-tap the .exe what happens? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Error: Cannot find ukpostcode or one of its components.
The startup link is pointing to the directory the .exe is in.
although I did install checkpoint, in fact I cant find it in the programs list - clearly an issue !
Are the required TT files available directly, so I can just copy them to whatever directory they need to be in ?
I followed the advice to stop using the favorites and create a POI group instead (having lost all my favorites when I change changed the map)
I was going to copy this POI to the PC as a backup, but I cant find the directory it is in, any ideas ? |

It looks like TTNControl.arm.cab is the issue (CheckPOInt has not been installed), download the TomTom Interface Install Package, extract the TTNControl.arm.cab file from the .zip, copy it to the PPC and from the PPC locate it using Find File and double-tap to install (it will auto delete).
You should be good to go then _________________ Darren Griffin |
