Still no reply from Seidio - so what, they've got their money!

Graham - di you buy directly from Seidio? if not you I thought you would be entitled to cover from the retailer
I spoke to a retailer about this mount and specifically your problem (because I want to get one) and he said that he had only had "a handful of mounts with the speaker problem - all of which had been returned and replaced" - may be you got one off the production line on Friday afternoon if such a thing happens in this high tech world these days |
I think they all suffer from this, mine does this as well. It seems to go after a while and you don't really hear it unless you are listening out for it. |

Hi,
I phoned the retailer re. the overheating problem. Apparently it is know with some of the earlier versions - they are going to replace.

I don't have the noise problem but I do have the overheating problem. This is my second 2500 as the first was returned because it disconnected the PDA when charging the bluetooth GPS. I think the running hot issue relates to all of the 2500's not just the early ones - I have only had mine 4 weeks both first and the replacement and they both overheat and cause the PDA to stop charging the battery.
I need an amplified mount as I have a deisel car (noisy) and my pda is a 4150 so the choice is very limited!! |

Hi,
just received my seidio mount and 2210 which were both recommend by "spotlights guides", the background noise doesn't bother me at the moment but should I be worried about the heat problem, i must admit when I removed it from the mount today it was very hot.
Cheers mark. |

This is a copy of what Seidio e-mailed me today (afetr I chased them up)
"Dear Customer,
To place the order go to www.seidio-europe.com.
We have the mentioned item in stock so we would ship in1 or 2 business days.
The background noise has been fixed. Regarding the hardwire cable, normally it is not complicated to install.
Best regadrs,
SEIDIO-EUROPE"
From this info if I had a mount that was noisey I would send it back - as they clearly state this has been fixed |

I contact Seidio about my unit and he answer:
We will replace the Seidio G2500 for a new one. The only thing is that we are out of stock of this mount now but we are going to receive it next week.
I receive answer in 2 days and I am very satisfied with Seidio. |

I don't have any heat problems, iPAQ5550 and Seidio 2500. I can hear a slight background whirr, but I can only hear this when everything else in the car is turned off and the car is in a very quiet place such as the garage. |
