just updated maps via tom tom home, seem to have latest maps apart from usa, and also all my favs and recent dests, have all gone, is this supposed to happen ? first time updated maps as ive only had it a couple of weeks. also unit has not alerted me when i have been aproaching a mobile speed camera van, all other alerts seem to be working fine |

If you have a copy of your old map prior to updating then you can get the locations back by following #15 on the FAQ page see Here
It isn't unusual to lose Favourites when updating the application and/ or map, for this very reason I never recommend people use them, create your own custom POI category on the device and use that to save locations.
A custom POI file can be transferred to other devices so if you upgrade at some point you can copy the file to the other unit.
It also can accept phone numbers for each location.
There is no realistic limit to the number of locations saved within a single file.

Try switching to the existing US map on the device and then run the update again. |

how do i get the usa maps up on the device ? |
