Speed camera clash!

Looked on TomTom Home last night and managed to install the Europe map but the North American one has not been downloaded so no update and don't get offered it.
The only TTS voice I get offered is Jane! There are loads of other voices but these appear to be for spoken alerts and not TTS. Where have they all gone? Penny pinching TT again?

Jane is NOT a TTS voice, it is a standard voice!

For the UK, Kate is a TTS voice.

In Tomtom Home, did you select from the main screen

Add Traffic, Voices, Safety Cameras etc

then

Voices

then have 2 options of

Recorded Voices OR Computer voices??

Sorry, yes it is Kate. And I have those options. There is just Kate in the computer voice section and loads in the recorded voice section.
Which one is the TTS one?

TomTom support have emailed me back with detailed instructions for deleting and reinstalling Home and making a backup and other bits to get the map upgrade. The gist of their solution is that if my internet connection is not good enough to compensate for their slow servers, to move house!! Bit drastic to get a map upgrade!
Will try your idea and see if that works. It downloaded the Europe map before giving me the server error and bailing out. Took three days or seemed like three days! Wink

Hi Andy,
Got that thanks but really unsure of what to do with it! Found some other ones in the computer voice ones, all mixed up with the normal ones. But not Simon, he has gone AWOL!! Got Jane, Tim but asked about do I want to select a computer voice for reading warnings etc. Thought Jane did that?
