Yes appreciate that Gerry but is there anyway I can share my changes with users on here for example?

I've been using the A127 for years now, I was aware of the Specs but had no idea they'd lowered the limit! Shocked
I don't use the road very often but came along it the other night and merrily accelerated up the on-ramp intending to reach national speed limit, if it wasn't for 2 lanes of slow moving cars I would've been caught doing 70 in a 50, I hadn't noticed the little '50' repeaters initially. My Talex was off and I didn't have my TomTom on (I use the PGPS dbase but not tested on that road yet)
Sneaky bast*rds!

As the corrections are map specific, even if you could "share a file" (which would mean people got all your corrections, but lost all of their own) you could only share them with people who had exactly the same map version as you.

All I can think of is either a list of Lat/Long co-ordinates of the start and end points of each speed limit section, or a series of screen grabs of the TomTom's Map Corrections page showing the highlighted road sections as you apply the corrections.

Both of the above would be an awful lot of work for you!

As an aside....
Doing this sort of correction depends on the mapping already having the road split up into short enough sections and them being in the right places - there's nothing you can do to define your own exact stretches of road. Were you just lucky this time?

The best way I have found to select only part of the A127 (the slower 50 mph road between the first SPEC and last SPEC) is to select a nearby road just off the A127 (just zoom in on the map display on your TomTom unit to see adjacent roads) for example I clicked on Pound Lane (near the first camera) and then zoomed in to select the A127 between each cameras. (it highlights on my unit in green the part of road I selected) you then deselect Pound Lane (as you don't want to correct this) and confirm you want to correct the speed between each SPEC camera to 50 mph.

This is the only way I could correct various speed limits on the A127 without selecting the whole A127 stretch of road.

Oh I strongly suggest you use a stylist as your fingers are probably too chunky for this delicate operation.

Thanks for all the replies. I have been trying to get it right again this morning before leaving for work, but it just reverted itself back to the original map settings. GGrrrrr

Mind you the A127 was so blocked up this morning there was no chance what so ever of geting anywhere near the 40/50/70 speed limt.

I will try the kind suggestion of batties over the next few days.

By chance for the last two weekends I have had to take customers back to Southend,I downloaded last weeks updates and it is still showing as 70 Mph thro' the new spec cameras not the actual 50mph.
They are going to make a "mint" with these cameras, cars were going by me as if I was standing still !!.
